Welcome to odra_06,
a journey along the rivers Odra and Nydra, mostly along the border between
Poland and Germany towards the Baltic Sea.
A motorbike, a server, a lot of code and a mobile provide the means for an
as yet untold river-tale.
The evolving documentary is provided in two different languages; English and
German, not mere translations but a version for each language. Provided I
have a connection the map is updated on a daily basis so you can see where
I am.
Every other day you can expect new texts.

This web site makes
use of MySql and php-code, hence we recommend a modern browser - this site
has been tested to work with Mozilla
Firefox 1.5.*. Unfortunately Internet Explorer doesn't display
code as intended as it appears not to be w3c-standart compliant.
Also Java-Script and cookies ought to be
enabled. Note that the 'google-map'-API uses google's own Java-Script, if
you are in doubt about their policy (in regards to data-mining) simply disallow
this function in your browser settings. odra.dysfunction.de links to a project
specific IRC channel where you can catch me if you can.
If you can't, see who is there. ;) Again, Java-Script is a requirement for
this application to work properly, which we consider trustworthy.

dokumentiert eine Reise entlang der Oder und der Neiße, von der Tschechischen
Republik entlang der Polnisch-Deutschen Grenze bis zur Ostsee.
Motorrad, Server, handgemachter Code und Handy machen die Flussgeschichten
möglich.
Als Reportage werden die Texte in zwei Sprachen bereitgehalten, Englisch und
Deutsch, wobei jeder Sprache individuelle Texte zugeordnet sind. Eine Verbindung
vorausgesetzt, gibt es ein tägliches Update via sms mit neuem Wegpunkt,
etwa jeden zweiten Tag gibt es neue Texte zu lesen.

und Cookies bitte aktivieren. Hier gilt es zu beachten, dass
die eingebundene 'Google-map'-API von deren Server kommt; im Zweifelsfall
(hinsichtlich 'Googles' Politik des Data-mining) bitten wir, Java-Script in
den Browsereinstellungen zu deaktivieren.
Ausserdem gibt es noch einen projektspezifischen IRC-channel,
der jedoch nicht ohne Java-Script funktioniert. Dieses Programm betrachten
wir jedoch als vertrauenswürdig.

wo ein log-in mittels Browser möglich ist. Ansonsten würde ich mich
um den einen oder anderen Kommentar freuen.
